The Real World Design Challenge starts with a state-level competition. Each state or territory that participates does so through a partnership with the Governor or Lieutenant Governor. Students in participating states and territories sign up for the competition, then compete for the Governor’s Cup. The winner in each state or territory receives an invitation to compete in the national finals in Washington, DC.
Below are the participating states and territories. For more information about the Real World Design Challenge in your state or territory, go to your state’s page and contact the state coordinator.
If your state or territory is not on the list you may sign up teams. Those from states and territories not on the list will compete at the state level in a block as one large state. The winning team from that block will be invited to compete in the National Challenge in Washington, DC.
If your state is not on the list, but you want to help get it involved, contact us at Jeffrey Coppola .
